Cut-Out Trend Floods Runways And Red Carpets

If you were paying attention to the runways and red carpets during awards season earlier this year, the cut-out trend was in full view on all the A-list celebrities and super models. Gwyneth Paltrow, Madonna, Lucy Liu, Miley Cyrus as well as models Irina Shayk and Alessandra Ambrosio were seen showcasing their perfect physiques in daring cut-out dresses.

Cut-Out Trend Options

This look is not for everyone, but if you have a gym-toned body, then this is the trend for you! Designers like Jason Wu, Emilio Pucci, Alexander Wang, BCBG Max Azria and Cushine et Ochs seem to have taken their inspiration from swimwear and incorporated it into these architectural designs. The look works best when the cut-outs are strategically placed to highlight a specific part of the body, whether it is the shoulders, midriff, back or sides. Some designs have multiple cut-outs while the more sophisticated versions have one or two cut-out details that give just a glimpse of skin.

Some designs have multiple cut-outs while the more sophisticated versions have one or two cut-out details that give just a glimpse of skin. This is a much more wearable and desirable way to pull-off this look, especially if you are body-conscience or just more conservative with your style.
